When we appreciate art, we appreciate love, even if the art is hostile in tone and feeling, because even these artists knew that they wanted to express something that boils down to what vested motivations and desires that compelled them to create.
Loved it! so much to see and do, perfect day for a family to spend the day. great art collection, very open space. Plenty of Picasso, Matisse. Japanese section - with the most stunning lacquer container selection.
Well worth the visit and price of admission. There’s no way that you could see everything in one day. Even if you just come to hang out, you’ll be happy that you did.
Art and art. A crazy quilt of building styles. (Some history: There was a contest to choose a winning architect for a unified design for an expansion. Rem Koolhaus won. Then the money people turned the winning bid down and erected an additional unmatched building to the campus.)
It was nice to see those lights. My kids love them. They had fun and enjoy the lights. But it was crowded. But it was still nice. I can't complain.
Art museums like these express the human moment in history. Every artist professional or amateur, young or less young, puts forth their emotions, conveying facets of what humanity is all about through opinion not conveyed by words, but by the dialogue of the art and the visitor. We are all just transitory beings on this world, yet what we save up in both physical forms and in memory lasts forever and ever.
