I have referred Carlos to friends and family, and he is kept very busy here in Country Club Park. Word of mouth travels fast, and he is much sought after by those of us with turn-of-the century homes (West Adams, Hancock Park, etc.)
I first met Carlos Alfaro in 1996 when I needed to install a ceiling fan in the apartment I was renting. I picked his "Express Electric" company out of the phone book, and it was the luckiest Yellow Pages pick ever.
Carlos probably does not charge the lowest for his service, but neither are his prices outlandish. His work is worth the cost.
Carlos is a masterful electrician, and only employs masterful electricians in his company. He did all the electrical upgrade in the historical home I bought here in Los Angeles 10 years ago--no small job. There were a total of 7 electrical outlets in the entire house (that was it, just 7), a fuse box rather than panel, and plenty of old wiring that had to be replaced.
His workers just installed another ceiling fan for me today, and discovered that the box from which the fan drops needed to be reinforced. They look for the integrity of the line and the system when they work, and in electrical matters safety is the bottom line for me.
