This place definitely deserves 5 stars. Not many people, including locals, know where it is situated. It is down a driveway next to a library. Look for Pierce Bros. If you do visit, make sure you take a map of the grounds that you can download as you will kick yourself that you didn't see everyone who is here. Very quiet, peaceful and you would not even know you were in LA. Definitely will visit again. Take flowers as well if there is someone there who is special to you.
Hi, Can someone please tell me what the hours are of this cemetery??? I can not find it anywhere. The only thing I've seen is on google it claims its open 24 hours. Yet, I went at 7pm and it was closed. Much appreciated! -Britt
Street parking was $1 an hour, and we just did that instead of trying to go in the gates.
More than a few celebrities, though Hef has yet to be marked. Not sure if he still truly has the spot above Marilyn Monroe, as the lipstick makes you believe he's to the left of her. Farrah Fawcett and Rodney Dangerfield were easy to find on the road.
Nice, but commercial development makes it difficult to find the entrance if driving by car and looking for good signage. See my pics for visual aid.
I have been there many times to place flowers on a special ladys grave that I knew, beautiful small place, easy to find Graves, it is simply a well keep beautiful and clean places, I just wish that when my time do come I wish I could afford to be buried that.
A true honor to be able to show my respects to many whom I have admired and once loved. Was here on November 15,2017. Very quiet, beautiful cemetery. The staff are very friendly ,although you do not need permission to visit. The grounds are very well maintained.
