It's a good branch library - conveniently located within the community.
Back in the day, we had libraries where the librarians would set the context of being quiet in the library. The librarians seem to think they're at Starbucks and yelling over the music to take an order. I went up to one of the assistants to ask why the librarians were so loud and I pointed out the worst offender and it was THE MANAGER.
They aren't open Sunday but the rest of the week they have decent hours.
Easy to order books from other branches and pick them up here. :)
I go there at least 3-7 times a month. It's like an old school library but with plenty of seating and computers. The personnel is warm and helpful. The DVD collection extensive. I always enjoy each and every visit!
I guess all libraries attract homeless folk, but I fear for my safety when I go to this branch
It has good lighting and visitors seem to be very respectful of keeping down noise.
Nice staff, good DVD collection, hosts events like Used Book Sales.
I'm not sure what they can do, but it would be nice if there was a way to control the amount of homeless people that are solely there for A/C and bathrooms...
There is access to the internet via computers.
I have to plug in my earphones and turn them up just so that I don't hear the librarians squawking and with those they're helping getting permission through their rotten example to speak just as loud.
