I've been living in Silver Lake since 2003. This week is my last visit to this store. No prices on some beers and at the check out he charged me $12 for four cans of Boddingtons. He seemed to fiddle and reenter the price a few times. Most LA store charge $8. I used a credit card so i didn't ask for my money back. I just nicely mentioned its $8 in other stores. ...nothing. I've seen him argue with customers a few times. I've got a lot of better choices in this great area. He may have gained $4 that day, but he's lost all the rest of my business.
The owner is a very helpful and sweet man. This is my favorite corner store!

Figured out the issue with this place. This man is incredibly racist.... against white people. So cacausian people beware he will kick you out for no reason, refuse to let you purchase items. And tell you horrible things. But other races (except maybe east Asians and Hispanics) you are safe. He will be nice and to you and answer all your questions respectfully. I even got him to smile at me and my mother. So if you think getting yelled at is fun and enjoyable this is the place for you.
These guys are rad really nice Everytime i come in. And yes i am white so i dont get why people are saying these guys are racist against white people. Maybe they just dont like stupid people yah think.
