I couldn't believe my eyes since we had just bought it and was told that it wouldn't go bad for another day or two.
All I got from here was a cookies and creme cake for the mister's bday, but it was soooooooo darn good ! We are both not big on sweets, but it was the perfect balance of not too sweet, and nice and moist. So good. And it lasted us a long time too.
We got home and decided to have it for our afternoon snack.
The Korean lady and other girls who worked here were so sweet and adorable and there were saaaamples, SAMPLES, I love free food. (:
Bliss Bakery is located inside the Little Tokyo Marketplace inside the Little Tokyo Galleria.
These girls provide top notch customer service. Their custard cream sweet bread is good but what keeps me coming back is the carrot cake, moist, not too spongy, with raisins. They earned a customer!
Upon further inspection, I found mold!!!
I will have to come back and buy some of their other baked offerings some time.
I showed someone else and they did confirm that it was mold. BEWARE of this place or better yet, AVOID IT ALTOGETHER!!!
We bought a selection of cupcakes from this Korean owned establishment earlier today.
They sell bread, cakes, pastries and macaroons. They have some of the cutest mini cakes that are made to look like animals. Their macaroons were good, not too hard or too soft.
I took a bite from my green tea cupcake and it tasted off.
This place is a hidden gem. The have an awesome assortment of pastries. Not just Korean pastries! They've got macaroons and all sorts of yumminess. Do yourself a favor next time you're in Little Tokyo!
