Arrived at The Edison with a couple of buddies. One was dressed in a Tshirt and nice jeans but was offered a jacket to wear inside. The bouncer was extremely nice and helpful. The space is dark, roomy, with red draperies on the walls, set in a speak-easy (but not stuffy) type of ambiance. The band had a Post Modern Jukebox type of style with a flapper-esque dancer. The show was fantastic as were the drink. We probably said to each other at least 5 times "This is one of the coolest places I've ever been."

Overrated fancy bar with a pretentious bouncer/security man at the door. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at Redbird next door, so we were all really dressed for the occasion. A friend in our group had a cast and due to her injury, was wearing a sneaker in her other foot. The bouncer did not let us in, and after I explained she was hurting from an injury and therefore wearing a sneaker, he laughed at my face. Extremely rude and enough reason to not ever come here again. I understand you have a strict dressing code policy, however that is never a reason to laugh at someone's face.

A fun themed bar with roots back to the 1920s. Absinthe is served by a green fairy, and a burlesque show breaks out randomly during the night. Really enjoyed it, but felt the $15 cocktails we're a bit pricey.

It was an interesting experience. A table reservation is mandatory if you are be more than two people and ever want to sit. Tonight the music was truly terrible but I hear it is better in general. I have high hopes though for returning with a table reservation for cabaret?

I love this place! My best friends were in for a visit and taking them here was a must!! The show is always amazing and the atmosphere classy! My only complaints would be the second bar not having a bartender and only being able to purchase one drink (the wait was too long, more bartenders would equal more profits) and the music was a little blah Friday night.

We saw the green fairy! The absinthe worked!
