I had a wonderful experience at Beer Belly last night with some friends. As far as bars go in KTown, this one has more of a relaxed vibe, for sure (other places would be way crowded and loud on a Saturday night - Beer Belly was well populated but the general noise level was such that conversation with friends was easy). The beers seem to be almost all local and must rotate regularly (kegs went dry as the night wore on, so I expect these are replaced with new and different beers maybe even daily). This is generally a sit down place, as the bar itself probably fits maybe 6-8 people. We had the duck fat fries with our beers, and they really hit the spot - salty and crunchy with a savory finish. The dude serving us was incredibly personable and we enjoyed his descriptions of the beer selection for the night. The music selection in the place was great, too, and set at a perfect volume to allow for conversation and the occasional listen to the noise around you. Will definitely be back soon!
Great leftovers
The only downside is the noise. Inside is a cacophony of conversation, music, and the occasional dropped plate. Get ready to shout and repeat yourself. But don't worry, once the food comes out, you'll be too busy eating to talk.
Great place to eat with the family and the prices are reasonable but the parking is a headache...
I strongly reccomend the Duck Bacon Burger and the fries. Just imagine a patty made of bacon and duck.. It's real. It's here. It's delicious.

I decided to order the "Fried Chicken Sammy." The sandwich comes with an onion bun accompanied with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, American cheddar cheese, smoked applewood bacon, one sunny side-up egg and the star of the group, one breaded chicken breast fried to perfection.
The taste was incredible! Moist, tender and everything tasted fresh! I also order the "Death by Duck" fries which the meat was incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection!
The beer selection is great. Ask your server about which beer to have with your food. They know :)
In addition the food took a little longer to get out than most places it seemed.

I have to say this place was pretty great. Hip, fun staff, good food, the usual works. The reasons for 4 stars is how expensive it was for what we got. Sure it was good, but you are charged $0.50 per sauce for your dipping needs. Girlfriend and I dropped $60 on 2 ciders, a burger, mac and cheese, and fries... not anything crazy, just burgers and mac and cheese..
Delicious place to pop in and get a quick snack and drinks. The happy hour here is a good value and the ambience is perfect. I've spent many evenings here before heading out for the night and it's the ideal place to meet up with girlfriends. No creepy guys here. Food is delicious and service is on point. Would return.
