Exquisite hair experience.

It was a good barbershop but there are still better

Excellent haircut service! Hair stylists really know what they're doing and what to look for individually. Had my hair cut by Kate, who did a superb job. Definitely recommend for men!

I just got my hair cut by Rebecka. It was a nightmare. I was dropped off at the salon while my mother dealt with parking. I showed Rebecka a picture of my (semi-best) self and informed her how I wanted my hair cut (which was basically very little) and she ignored my instructions. I don't know why. Maybe she saw me as the young and inexperienced teen that I am and thought she could do whatever she felt like. I asked here not to cut as much but it was too late. When my mother entered the salon she commented on just how short my hair had been cut (which at this point was borderline buzz-cut). Rebecka even admitted that she had cut too much to my mother. My mother hung out behind the hair station to supervise but didn't say much except to remind me of my girlfriend's possible reaction (I fear negative). My mother buried herself in her iPhone, eyeing the progress. At one point Rebecka ordered my mother away from her station -- and it was rude. (I've had my hair cut at Southpaw many times by other stylists and my mother has hung out with me at the hair station.) I knew my mother was outraged but Rebecka seemed to require a bit of privacy to chop away at my head in an attempt to camouflage the mess that my hair had become. Finally she was done. I called my mother who had left the salon in disgust and was waiting outside. My mother paid for my haircut. She did not leave a tip. This is the first time I have ever seen my mother not leave a tip -- she always tips. Rebecca had fled the scene of what felt like a crime; she was no longer on floor of the salon, perhaps in some back room. My mother said she would never go back to a hack. Rebecka's bio reads that she loves a "tight fade." I think that might be all that she can do with hair. I've had positive experiences with some of the other stylists at Southpaw but Rebecka left me feeling positively abused.

Been going here for almost a year. I don't let anyone else touch my curly hair. Kate is great. Coffee is good too! Good music.
