A wonderful experience for my daughter. She was interviewed by the camera men. She enjoyed the Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles, Mariachi Divas and much much more. We had an eventful time. Always great at El Capitan.
Great place to watch Disney movies! Its been around for a very long time. Their staff were friendly and their service was good. I'll definitely visit this place again.
El Capitan Theatre is an awesome and fun place to take your family or date!
Cons: Old style seats, they don’t decline and a little uncomfortable to sit in for long movies. Only bottled drinks, I prefer fountain drinks, parking is across the street in the Hollywood & Highland structure (but parking IS validated!)
The El Capitan is the most fun and classic cinematic experience you'll experience in Hollywood. From the organ player playing classic Disney tunes before the film, to the amazing 4-D experiences offered at some of their screenings, this movie theatre is everything you'd want out of a film-going experience!
I generally don’t like Hollywood since it’s full of tourist traps and traffic jams, but the El Capitan Theatre is definitely worth checking out. It’s an elegant place with rich history behind it, and ticket prices were surprisingly not too bad considering it’s a Dolby Cinema projector. As it is owned and operated by Disney, you will only be able to watch Disney films at this location. When there are new releases they typically have props from the movie in the lower floor, and when there aren’t any new releases they replay the older classics. When the movie is over don’t forget to get your parking validated to make it a $2 ticket and check out the Ghirardelli and Disney Store next door for dessert and limited edition items if you’re a collector.
Pros: Amazing staff, more than just a theater, there’s interactive displays and architecture, the screen/projector quality is top notch and audio is on point.
