Historic station, dirty and old waiting area. Not much things to see. Hope they have a museum.
Fun spot to stop by. Definitely better taking the trains if you're jumping around L.A. driving will cut your enjoyment time, and the cost of riding a day pass isn't bad.
Ok train station easy to use. Safe, good staff, helpful, police patrolling.
It's more than a train station. It's your connection to the many destinations in the country. Great dining options. Starbucks, Subway, wine and bar, newsstand. Amtrak, Metrolink, Metro Red - Gold - Purple Lines, Amtrak Thruway, Greyhound, MegaBus and other transit.
On top of arriving late every day, they shorten the train by 2 cars so you are ABSOLUTELY JAMMED & CRAMMED ON THE TRAIN with other people.
Again, The LA METRO is the absolute worst public transit system in the world. 3rd world countries have a more efficient public transit system than we do.
On average, I nearly get into work late 3 times a week. I've had to add an extra 45 minutes of travel time to my morning schedule because of Metro.
Elevators and escalators are always broken down. It's a joke. So instead they request handicapped people take bus lines miles away from the train station.
With all that said.... Traveling around town? Get an uber!!!!
Unlike the rest of their world, their constantly broken down trains and rail lines arrive every 20 minutes or so morning, day and night -- unlike their advertised 5 minute transit arrival times.
Let's see... where do I begin....
The LA Metro Transit system is THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Goldline, Red line, Explo Line, Blue Line -- All the lines.
The drivers love to slam on the breaks.
Don't bother downloading the METRO app because the arrival times are never accurate. NEVER.
People are smoking blunts on the goldline and redline like it's a full time job. The police do absolutely nothing about it. Even amidst the complaints. But why would they? Theyre paid a time and half to sustain the most mundane job on the planet. They just don't care..
People piss all over the platforms and it stinks. It's really sad... and disgusting.
