If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...

We were obviously wrong. Really really heartbroken to have this 'top off' an amazing holiday.

I am sadden by both the the lack of service, quality, and professionalism at this hotel and would never recommend anyone to stay here. Ever.

Streets around the hotel are filled with homeless and hustlers. Advised not to go far at night (and not to have my wife out alone at night)

Bathrooms have been renovated in the past, floor tiles appear to have been painted and are slippery (our two year old took a fall after a slightly steamy bathroom made the floor moist)

Room service is as expensive as the nightly rate, 4 fee on top, 20% service charge, plus tip, plus tax.. and that's without even paying for the food.

Awesome hotel situated directly in the heart of Hollywood. Fantastic staff, even better views if you can get a room on the east side of the hotel. Didn't try the food but plenty of options for all taste buds within walking distance. The rooms were very clean and the beds were nice and soft. If you can catch a good rate at this hotel the location is definitely worth it. There is a pool on the 5th floor that connects to hotel to the shopping complex situated directly behind it and requires a key for guest only access.

Love this hotel! All the staff are kind and professional. Can't wait to stay again. I loved hanging out on the comfy bed eating the amazing deserts each night

We've had an amazing few weeks here in the USA, so it's a real shame that this is the end to our trip.

Housekeeping missed our room 2 days in a row, however we did manage to have new towels and bins changed at 9pm when we called front desk.

Rooms look amazing in photos, but were a little underwhelming in person. Mattresses are cheap and lumpy, sheets are thin and both beds had holes in sheets. Feels a little like an Australian hospital. Pillows are half sized which I can only assume is to make the beds look bigger in photos.

Parking is just another joke. It's a public carpark where you might not be able to find a spot if there's something big on at the Dolby or the Chinese theatre. It's $15 per day to self park.. but only if you leave the car there. If you're coming and going during the day, it's an expensive little adventure. Valet is $45 per day, but if you're tipping each time it's even more. Best to take the car and stay out all day (the pool and other facilities might not be available back at the hotel anyway... So why go back?)

I very rarely comment on places I have stayed, good or bad. But this experience has changed this. To start, I had booked this hotel at the conclusion of a 22 year anniversary trip with my wife. I am happy it was not in its entirety at this hotel. A room with south side views of LA was booked. We received a room on the north side, with gorgeous views of alleys and dumpster divers. Also noticed with this view was a massive bird s..t all down the middle window. Add in the blood stain/finger print next to the mirror at the entry. And top it off with zero bath towels to utilize as we prepare ourselves for an evening concert at the Hollywood Bowl (we attempted to get towels at the front desk however learned there wasn't any, many rooms were making requests for them, and that staff was working on cleaning some. As I type this is over one hour after calling about the towels). A request to talk to the hotel manager went unanswered.

On the last day of our stay, pool is unavailable for half the day as they have it booked for a photo shoot (no notice to guests..) alternative is to walk across the road and they MAY let us use their pool at another hotel.

We chose Loews as it has a great reputation for quality accommodation, we paid extra over other similar hotels in the Hollywood area because of it.

$400+ per night to stay here, can't believe this is what we get.

I'd hope the bigger suites that were twice the price were nicer, as this one is definitely a let down.
