One of LA's classic movie theaters. Love seeing double features here, and it provides a great atmosphere for festival premieres and screenings. Always great projection and sound.
Love this place. Came here to see Texas chainsaw at Beyond fest this year and had a blast. The ambiance of this place is fantastic and great seats, definitely a go to for seeing movies on the strip.
First impressions are the most important and this theater surpassed my expectations. Went with some of my best friends to experience the North American premiere of the new Greg Sestero film Best F(r)iends with special guest Tommy Wiseau at Beyond Fest 2017. It was a blast! No words can accurately describe the evening. As for the venue, the theater--although it seemed small to me--the atmosphere and quality of service was superb. If given the opportunity, I definitely return for future film screenings!
This is the first theater to host the Red Carpet events, that was back in1922 Robin Hood with Douglas Fairbanks. A great experience for true classic film lovers. The faux Egyptian design and history of the building make it interesting. Snacks and popcorn only are available, not hot foods. Rows are short and you'll have to get up to let others in your row. Enjoy!
Hollywood itself was a wild place but the Egyptian theater was magnificent! Everything looked amazing and the staff were very kind. I would definitely return, just not at night again.
