I've been handled very well by this department and West Valley. If I could change one thing ..it would be the communication with thier public. Sometimes we want to tell you something and we want you to listen. We don't always expect you to go into a nearby phone booth and return a super hero. Saying "Thank You for letting us know"...instead of "There's nothing we can do" is more comfortable for yours truly..
I am extremely disappointed with the police in chatsworth and topanga. I complained about the noise from my upstairs neighbors that started from 7:30pm until 02:00am. I called them twice and both times they told me they will come. No one showed up. We could not sleep at all until the neighbors finally stopped at 2:00 in the morning. What is one supposed to do? Who is to protect us? No police. No HOA management company. No one. This is why people go crazy. They feel that no one is out there to care for them. It's unfair and lonely when you feel so powerless when people disturb your peace and sanctuary of yourself and your loved ones. I am so sad and hurt. I thought the police is a community police and they're supposed to be here for our safety. I guess I was wrong. The message is don't bother us with your petty little complaint. We're too busy for you. But they don't know these people have been at it for over five years. No wonder they keep doing it because they have no one to stop them.
We live off the csun campus. There was a drunken man ranting and yelling about a woman who didnt live here from 6am to 8am. He appealed to be non violent but making attempts to enter our gated building and casing our building. I called the non emergency phone a courteous officer answered and sent a police officer right away. They showed within 30 minutes. They must have missed him. The lapd is courteous and professional. Thank you for your time and professionalism officers.
Officer HERRERA 42119 probably has done some good in his day. Definitely not lately. Human beings are so disappointing sometimes.
I honestly wish I can give it 0 stars. No one answers the phone at alllll! When you first call it states someone is at the front desk 24 hours. Hmmm doing what? Scrolling the internet milking the clock.? Stop be lazy and answer the damn phone!
