Dr. Westin Richter at Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group saved our dog, Benji's, life one more time (last time was 2-1/2 years ago from cancer). Both our dogs are senior citizens. Our other dog, Freckles, has 3 legs, but is pain free and acts like he has 4 legs. Both are healthy and still with us only because of Dr. Richter!
Busy office, limited parking, but terrific vet! Ask for Dr. Lockhart. He did a fantastic job with my cat. This was my first time bringing my pet to this office.
My cat had a G/I infection and Dr. Lockhart was aggressive in his treatment of the infection. He gave my cat an antibiotic injection while were in the office and sent me home with antibiotics. He also gave my cat an anti-nausea injection while we were in the office. My cat was already feeling better by the time we got home.
just switched my two dogs to this practice. Friendly staff. Walked in without appointment and seen fairly quickly . My dog needed stitches and vaccinations. I received a welcoming greeting card within 2 days of my first visit. I'm very satisfied.

This is a great practice. Since they are open on Sundays and weekday evenings, it is possible to schedule appointments (and some emergencies) without added stress. It is easy to fit routine care easily in one's normal busy schedule. It is also comforting to know that our pets' usual practice is readily available during hours when previously we would have gone to an emergency clinic. They have all the records and history there. Hence they can give more effective care to the ailing patient. And going to a familiar place is not as upsetting to our pets. The doctors there are sensitive and caring to both the pet and his/her companion. The front office staff is efficient, courteous, personable and pleasant. Phone etiquette is exemplary. If you have an older pet whose final hours are at hand, they make that difficult experience more bearable. Also, adequate parking is available (always a consideration).
