Went here today for a passport renewal with my mom. Everything was so fast and easy! I guess most of the complaints here were from those who did not read the requirements properly. I would recommend that you guys should go there as early as possible with all the requirements prepared and probably with other important papers that you have (such as NSO/Birth certificate) in case of emergency, so you won't get any difficulties :) I'll be back to rewrite/edit my review after I get my new passport.
I dread going to the Phil Consulate in LA because of how inefficient the way it operates and how inept the staffs are. It is a shame because they really seem clueless how much disservice they portray and seem not care to improve the situation. Forget calling or emailing as you will never get a response. A few weeks ago, I opted to do a "mail-in" of my documents needing "red ribbon". It came back with three items highlighted a) required cashier's check but I was very confused because clearly I had attached the exact amount needed, and the payee correct, and it was a cashier's check .... so huh? b) need a self stamped addressed envelope no UPS. I did use a UPS, paid extra so I can track my documents. However, they used my UPS envelope to return my unprocessed documents back to me... so what the heck is wrong with UPS? c) need extra copy of my document....they couldn't have fed my documents to a copy machine? What the heck is wrong with these people? If I am running this place I will remove all incompetent staff members and enhance the service. Folks, it is not rocket science and the Consul General ought to be ashamed of himself to put up with this kind of sloppy and unprofessional service.
Fantastic Staff especially the Egyptian security personnel doing awesome job. Most likely applicants give bad reviews to Philippine consulate because the problem is applicant's not the staff, applicants tend to Cut off lines, pushy, impatients, play dumb, some promised to be back to pay outside consulates services but they just ran off, sarcastic and rude. Okay downsides: smokers all over plaza should be ban. elevators, floors and parking garage are crazy confusing, also consulate doesn't take personal check, debit or credit card, other than that we are blessed to have Philippine consulate here in LA. To all Philippine Consulate General Staff thank you and God bless
Went to the consulate on Nov 2, 2017 to renew my passport. It didn't impressed me. The person at Window 1 was having a bad day and she took it all on me, very unprofessional. PLEASE BE NICE. However, the process took me 30 minutes.
Sent the documents to Report Marriage it took only 7 days it was fast and efficient. Thank you. I'm giving you 5 start for that.
I have to commend the consulate staffs in Philippine Embassy LA. I went to one of their consular outreach program at National City CA last July 8, 2017 to renew my passport and have my last name changed. It only took me 20 minutes for the whole process. And, I am so happy because I got my passport today! To the staffs, thank you for all your help and Keep up the good work. Mabuhay!
