Had a blast at this amazing hotel. Joyce went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and at home. The pool area is wonderful. Took a dip after a long day of traveling. The pool was exceptional. Clean, warm, and did not smell of chlorine. Joyce took care of everything. We had Champagne and chocolates waiting for us. We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary. What a way to kick off the weekend. Can't wait to come back.
My stay was almost perfect. The bed was absolutely amazing. The room service so fast and the staff so helpful and pleasant. I arrived early and requested early check in and was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating Jack W was at check in. The only drawback was the busy street down below and the cars racing down it in the middle of the night. The windows did not block enough of the noise from the engines as they sped down the street. I would stay here again but I would need white noise to block out the sounds from the street.
Everyone was so nice. From the valet that helped us with our bags to the front desk agent that checked us in. The agent even walked us to our room and gave us a brief history of the hotel. I felt very welcomed and I felt part of a family that I didn't know I had. I was also welcomed to a surprise when I walked into my room! When I booked, I explained that it was my birthday in my ramblings and even after so many months, I was greeted with a very nice birthday surprise. I was very happy. The view of the Hollywood sign from my room made the stay magnificent.
My wife and I loved the ambiance and feel of the hotel. We had the most relaxing sleep. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were all helpful and kind. The live jazz music on Monday night was amazing. Plus, the location was perfect. We loved our stay
Convenient location. Friendly staff, attentive service and nice facilities. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice. However, the bed was WAY too soft. Not good for us middle aged folks! Despite high quality bed linens and a very comfortable duvet, it appears that the mattresses have been used for a long time and need to be replaced. Our experience with the bed will influence our decision to stay there for future visits to LA.
