If you walk or drive around to the back there is a road that goes right along side the field to the faculty buildings. Perfect place if you want to watch as a practice is going on or watch the maintenance crew at work.
Beautiful stadium. Every body is helpful and nice. Nestled next the 405 it's a peaceful get away from the noise. It's one of the reasons LA is a beautiful city. BBQ hotdogs, links, burgers, candy, snacks. The crowd is mostly families and kids love to get those baseballs when they go out of bounds. Wholesome family entertainment. No beer and alcohol but who needs it when you come here.
Very good place to exercise very safe & clean friendly staff had fun.
There is so much to look forward to when I go there. I do go there many times. I have a great time there. Do come offen and you will be glad you was there. Russell!
Had a great time visiting from Oregon when we watched UCLA play in the ballpark here. They gave free popcorn all three nights and the concessions were very reasonably priced. Very comfortable little ballpark with all the trees and shade.
Jackie Robinson Stadium is tucked towards the back side of the Veteran Affairs campus and is pretty amazing. It appears to have all the features of any major stadium and is very well maintained.
I went by once in desperate need of a restroom. As I walked towards the faculty buildings I found a baseball on the road which I picked up thinking it would make for a good excuse for me to walk over and talk to the maintenance crew. So I did. I walked over and yelled as I approached "I found this ball, here".. offering to return it. One of the guys stopped what he was doing and walked towards me. He told me I could keep the ball and even agreed to let me use the restroom in the locker room which I thought was very nice and a bit surprising.
