I was bought here via Ambulance, which ruined my LA plans for the night, but my hospital experience has been fine. I did not have to sit around the waiting room, that might have agitated me and started my 3 night stay in the wrong mind set.... Anyways, I am a medical professional who works in hospitals myself, so I know how this experience could have been. (As in Bad) My nurses have been caring and responsive. My ICU nurses were the excellent, and now that I am on the floor, the nurses are just as attentive. The CNAs as well. The rooms are private, and that helps with sleep and healing. The doctors have pretty good bedside manner as well.
RUN FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL. They sent my son home with both bones broken in his arm in a sling. He suffered all night and went to Cedars the next day. He was IMMEDIATLEY admitted and had plates and screws put in. Then they billed be thousands for a sling. Even worse, the person to "talk" to about your bill can only be contact by sending a letter to a PO Box. NO name. No phone number. I sent a registered letter 60 days ago. No response except a call from the collection agency.
Bonus. Food. You can order what you want. These little things all add up to better patient/customer experience for sure.
Took my boy friend to ER with heart complications. Which they dismissed with a diagnosis of panic attack/anxiety after administering ativan . Is just so happens he had just quit drinking and the doctor ordered ativan to be administered in the iv. They didn't tell him that this drug causes the same withdrawal symptoms of alcohol and may cause panic attacks also along with sychosys. He has visited the ER in past 2 months and a 1/2 seven times and every time he was given ativan/lorazepam even when he reported having an episode of panic where he could deal with reality after taking ativan a week prior. How can they be so careless? Have in mind he just quit drinking and these idiots keep putting opioids in his bloodstream so the body and brain are now doing double the work to kick out both substances.
This hospital wanted to do major surgery on my stomach due to what they called necessary. I decided not to do it and gained 60 lbs. Makes me wonder who's best interest they are looking out for. Stomach specialist, who recommended the surgery was 100% WRONG. Don't trust these Dr's, get second opinion. They wouldn't let me check out until I got extremely rude. I only wanted a little more time to consult another Dr. Their excuse was hard for insurance to reinstate and sense I was in the hospital already, have the surgery. Without going back to this dreadful place, my health improved dramatically
This is a Beautiful Hospital with caring people I had a very good experience all my nurses we Great. I started to read other reviews that where bad, so I stop reading & put my faith in my Doctor and it all went very well!!! I thank you all so very much and keep up the good work!!
